It was so much fun being able to work with Lauren and Joe! When Phillip and I arrived at the beautiful South Seas Island Resort, I think on some level we experienced what Joe felt when he saw Lauren for the first time. We were met by such a lovable and warm spirit.

Lauren and Joe met one day during and intramural flag football game in New York. After the game they got to talking and realized they had both vacationed in Sanibel Island (right next to Captiva) as children. We joked that Joe probably kicked over Lauren’s sand castle at some point   🙂  Which is why Captiva was the most fitting location to host their destination wedding.

Their ceremony was absolutely gorgeous! They were married on the beach with the sun setting behind them and the light could not have been more perfect! To add to their cuteness, in lieu of a traditional cake cutting Lauren and Joe exchanged cookies and milk (such a great idea!)

Lauren and Joe, it was so wonderful getting to know you both! That is one of my favorite parts of this job! I love getting to know our clients and becoming friends with them   🙂  Thanks Lauren and Joe for picking us! and thanks Phillip for helping me photograph this wedding!

It’s a big day today! … I’m excited to share Mallory and Ricky’s Coral Gables wedding held at  Granada Presbyterian Church.  Let me start off by saying how grateful I am to Mallory and Ricky. I could not have asked for a more perfect and gracious couple to have as my first bride and groom!

Everything was simply beautiful. I know the word “everything” can be easily dismissed but I can’t stress it enough. All the little moments and big moments between them in the ceremony, the anticipation, the celebration, their family and friend’s love and support … all simply beautiful and tangible. It was not only an honor to witness but an honor to be able to capture.

Mallory and Ricky, your love for each other and for God is absolutely beautiful and was so evident in every aspect of your wedding day. Thank you for having faith and for having faith in me! May God bless everything you do together 🙂

Also, a big thanks Phillip for helping me shoot this wedding!

I’m excited to bring you my very first post with 13:13! We met Mallory and Ricky down in Coconut Grove one evening with the intentions of shooting at Barnacle Park, but found out earlier that day the park closes at 4:00 (bummer) … but it didn’t matter, because Mallory and Ricky can look gorgeous just about anywhere. (Especially in front of a blue condemned building) I’m also excited to be shooting their wedding this coming week with Phillip, so stay tuned for more Mallory and Ricky cuteness!

p.s. ~ A special thanks to Phillip for helping me out with this shoot!   🙂
